I have an iPad it's usually what I take all my pictures with but it isn't the quality that I want and tends to take away from my work when I do my own makeup as far as color...any suggestions?

I hate how my phones camera washes out the color also. If I do something purple it shows up like blue or something. Maybe try taking pictures outside lol. May sound silly but it might work.

Lol I know right! I'm like always trying to get a good angle or good lighting and then I get on here and these ladies look like they have a personal photographer lol.

Lol they probably do. I have the iPhone and the quality of the pictures are sometimes good, not always. Maybe it's just us lol.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has to take multiple pics to get a good one :)

Omg Briana. I honestly take 20 pictures and narrow it down to like 5. I just hate indoor lighting.

Pictures are usually most clear in natural sunlight.

I h e a digital SLR so take most of my pics with that however you need to remember that cameras interpret colour and light differently to our eyes and so what may look a certain colour to you in the flesh may look differently in the photo. Annoys me no end when I look and think the makeup is fab only for it not to show as it should in the pic.

Sometimes it doesn't always work but try facing the light when taking a photo. It helps bring a brighter lighting.

For the iPad and all other Apple devices the back camera always takes better pictures then the front because that's where the better lens is. Strive for shooting in natural light only or if that's the only camera you have buying accessories to take better pictures, lenses, etc. But you really don't need them. Most camera problems can be fixed with good lighting.

For apple products, you can tweak the photos. If you click edit in the top right, there should be a color-enhancer which looks like a magical wand. Click that, and save. Hope that helps :)

I study photography so I'm a but of a camera buff! I can tell you its not the cameras fault! Make sure to set the camera without a flash! This is because the flash reflects off the glitter and makeup and washes it out! But try taking the pics in natural lighting! I could give you all these camera setting but you probably don't understand about exposure and aperture shutter speed blah blah blah so I'm keeping it short and simple! No flash, natural lighting!

It's just that simple huh Christine, I'm going right now. 😑
I try the best I can. Even professional photographers can't get makeup to look right sometimes.

Yeah...If anyone can just drop the money for a DSLR and lenses I envy you. But it's all about lighting.

Thanks y'all, I'm not making the big bucks yet so I can't just go out and buy a new camera. But thanks anyways :)
