Hi! My skin is quite pale but my neck, butt, and few spots on my face are dark and I was just wondering if lemon juice help lighting my skin. I don't want any bleach care or make up, I want something homemade.

Lemon juice may irritate your skin but a product that u can get over the counter that has a small amount of hydoquinone which an agent that helps to lighten any type of pigmentation works great and a good one is called ambi and all u need is a little every day and if u want something stronger that is still great for the skin a dermatologist can RX the same cream that is just stronger in strength over the counter is about 2% and by Rx its 4% although it may not be covered by insurance I have seen patients have a bad allergic reaction to homemade products that include alot of citrus products due to the acidity of the lemons, grapefruit, and several different plant extracts

Joi is right. Lemons and other citrus fruits should not be recommended as homemade lightening agents because it is really harsh on your skin. Too many people suffer from allergic reactions. Lemon is actually also a bleach, albeit found in nature. Homemade recipes are very risky and even though I love DIY skincare, I research all my recipes with medical and dermatological experts before trying them out.
I used to love being in the sun, too much. I got very tan, a good estimate is maybe 15 times darker than the picture you see on my pictures here. After I worked really hard to return to my natural shade, there were many dark spots and I used the following methods to lighten them.
-Regular spot exfoliating with gentle scrubs (make sure to use gentle scrubs, like jojoba beads) every other day. Using harsh scrubs or scrubbing aggressively agitates the skin which causes hyper pigmentation.
-Whitening masks. I used whitening masks bought from stores, it's safer. I did spot treatments in dark areas with the masks.
-Whitening lotions. I went crazy with these. Every time I remembered, I would apply.
If you really want to use lemon juice, make sure to do patch tests before using them. If you have any reactions, and still want to try it out, mix it with water. The only thing is, if you suffer from allergic reactions to lemon juice, it might make your dark spots worst instead.

One mask you can create is with the use of oatmeal, yogurt and tomato juice. Mix the three altogether to create a thin paste. Apply this paste all over your skin and allow it to stay for 20 minutes before rinsing the mask off with cold water. You can use this mask every day or you can use alternately with other skin lightening masks until you achieved your desired skin tone. According to the Natural-Home Remedies.org, this is considered as one of the best dark skin home remedies.
