If you want red do it it's your hair and her job 😊don't let her tell you not too & if you want to dye it different a light sandy brown would be nice 😊

Red hair is not any more damaging than any other color unless you want a very very bright red and your stylist may prelighten it. if you usually lighten it first and thats what she is referring to then you could try more of a deep red with brown in it.

:O but I'd so recommend a red brown for you, I personally think it would suit you best and bring out the pink in you because your yellow undertones are more dominant thus making you more neutral, and Bridgette is right, the levels of hair color is what's damaging not the color itself.

I am a hair stylist and if your stylist is telling you not to bleach your hair its probably for very good reason. you probably can't tell how badly its damaged. I have a client who constantly insists on bleaching her hair over and over and her is horrible bc of it. I refuse to do it now bc its better for her. she goes to someone else when she wants it bleached bc I refuse and I'm fine with that bc I don't want to hurt her hair. if your stylist tells you they care more about your hair than making the money from bleaching it then you would be smart to listen.

And again bridgette's right lol that's only if she's telling you not to lighten (bleach) at the moment. You can always go with highlights, I suggest this to those whose hair isn't in the right condition to bw lightened, but honestly your hair naturally seems to be at about a level 2 so a 2 to a 5 isn't a huuuge lift it is a little big but its do able and not totally damaging.

Btw I'm not a stylist yet, I'm still in school for that but in September I will have completed my course.

By the way she was talking I assumed shes been to a stylist a bit and would then assume that's not natural color so it could take more work and be more damaging. and her hair could have previous damage but we can't tell but I think the color antisar showed is a beautiful color and would be great and not cause damage.

I'm about to go red. before I change to a colour that requires lightening I use redkens protein shampoo and conditioner for a few weeks. it helps strengthen my hair. red brown would look great though.

I have gone red and it did not damage my hair. I used a hi color and the manic panic to retouch.
