Many asian girls including me have monolids. Meaning having no crease. Most feel self conscious about it so they get surgery and try to change it. What's your opinion about them?

I don't think they should try to change it honestly. It shows their nationality and they should be proud of it. Everyone is beautiful with or without monolids :)

There are many pretty tutorials with monolids, jung saem mool is a favorite korean artist of mine and she has tutorials with models who have monolids, so you might want to check out some of her videos. :)

I get monolids occasionally (usually double eyelids) but I don't think that you have to have to have surgery to change it.
There are lots of beauty gurus out there with monolids, my favorite frmheadtotoe :)
I agree with everyone else regarding monolids but if you yourself is feeling self conscious about it there are tricks and stuff to get double eye lids like double eye lid tape, glue, e.t.c.
Monolids aren't ugly or anything but a lot of people probably dislike theirs because of the media with the overwhelming majority not having them :(

I am German and I have monolids as well, but I like them and I also think, asian eyes are the most beautiful.

Good call Rebekah I really don't think people should feel self-conscious for something so natural, its like if I felt self conscious for having brown eyes and not blue. I personally find asian eyes really cute and I find the faces of people who get double lids kinda off. Feel pretty the way you are!

I personally love monolids. You don't have to close your eyes to see your eye makeup. When you eyes are open you can still see all of the art work that are on your eyes!

I think they are beautiful, and there is so much you can do with them- smokey eyes, cat eyes, or faking a crease with shadow. You can do just as much or more with them with makeup as any other lid shape. I think they are intensely beautiful and unique and I'm glad you have finally found some peace with them. There are other countries where facial surgeries, including mono lid removal are all the rage and mothers actually pressure their daughters to get them done.

There is nothing wrong with monolids. They are a beautiful feature, just like any other. =)
