No, I heard your hair grows better actually up. which I don't understand all tht good but its what I heard.

If you're tying your hair too tight when you're braiding it or putting it up, it actually can cause slower growth at hair loss. The ends of your hair should be fine, because they are protected! So in theory, tying your hair up too tight can cause less rapid hair growth.
