My friend wants me to give her highlights using splat hair dye with the colors teal and pink. I have never used this hair dye before and was wondering if any of you guys have. If you have wht should I know about it is it like any other hair dye? Wht do you guys recommend to get great highlights?

I like the smell of it for some reason haha! and its good, but it fades FAST! but I guess it depends how you take care of the hair you died. I used it to dye an ombre pink and it lasted around a week :) if its temporary go for it but if she wants it to be like that for a while I recommend using something else :)

I used to color mine with splat all the time. For best results I recommend bleaching the hair first for a brighter longer lasting colour. It's easy to use too. The only downside is it doesn't last very long.

Last summer I dip dyed my blonde hair with splat in the pink and it turned out great! The color was bright and nice and I didn't even have to bleach my hair before but I guess that's just a because I'm blonde. I left the dye in for half an hour and it lasted on me for months without me re dying it!

OMG splat is probably the best hair color I've used. It turned my hair This bright red in one try. And the bleach works really well too. I give it a thumbs up!

Personally I use provana. so many great colors to choose from and you can mix then together to get dof colors and it looks great..I usually get mine touched up about every 3or 4 months it doesn't fade as fast cuz I wash my hair w ice cold water and use biolage shamp and con. I recomend this product for any color treated hair.

I've used every color Splat makes I think lol, it's great for the price and surprisingly long lasting. If her hair is dark make sure to bleach first, most Splat dyes have bleach included xo :)

Thanks everyone for all of your help:) We ended up using manic panic hair color never used it before. I did turquoise and hot pink highlights they turned out great!

My friend uses this and her hair is super bright and lasts a long time. She leaves the color on, longer than directed, because it's a direct dye, it is essentially staining your hair.
