And I wonder if it will have any effects since its a type of medicine and I'm already on a daily medicine for my anxiety? That's the only thing that's prevented me from trying it.

Betsy, milk of magnesia has a pH of 10.5 which is fairly basic. It's not acidic at all.

Sierra it shouldn't affect your medication at all considering you're not consuming it but rather just putting it on your face

Moisturizers I don't know made me more oily but I'm trying to look for a good primer. Yea MOM its like not sure some people shed and some say that it might damage your skin in the long run also that it kills all bacteria even the good ones for your face and it might encourage growth of bad bacteria sooo I've read just be careful if you want to do it.

@Betsy, pH does not work like a normal scale...the lower the number, the higher the acidity. 7 is neutral, so a pH of 1 is very, very strong, were as a pH of 10.5 is very low and considered a base. So no, milk of magnesia is not acidic and should not harm your face.

Katie basic solutions are also harmful which is why you don't pour bleach on your skin bleach is also basic as are most soapy dish soap like cleaners basic solutions are corrosive while acidic solutions burn the skin - anyways I'm curious if its okay to use milk of magnesia on acne prone or sensitive skin I have psoriasis on my face and I'm thinking it might over dry that area of my skin... but I have heard so many great things about it for oily skin.
