First things first - going platinum from black can actually go really well, so your stylist pooped up a bit there. I would say find a shade about as dark as the pinkish bits - so not dark, but dark enough to unify it all, if you're hoping to go platinum once you've grown the pink out. Otherwise just any dark colour will work, purples especially so.

Dye it with a blonde green based color. it will cancel out the pink colors. it will get a bit darker, but wear that color for a few weeks and then bleach it again :)

Or just a cool color would cancel out a lot too.

Tone your hair down! when you bleach start with your ends then the roots! thats why you have orange tips.

Aina is right, an ash blonde will fix your problem most likely! The exact same thing happened to my sister and she used an ash blonde colour over top. It didn't damage her hair any more, it was actually nourishing due to the oil that came in the box ( from shoppers drug mart).

As a hairdresser, I'd rather my clients come back in or call me rather than trying something at home. You should be able to call them and let them know you aren't happy, and they should fix it at no additional cost.

Actually for it being black before you tried this, it's going pretty well. Try a purple shampoo and go back and have her tone it in a couple days. Deep condition!!

Its orange because of the red dye..try a blue or purple toner and wash with toning shampoo regularly to get that platinum colour.

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! I agree with niki, if youre unhappy talk to your stylist about it. going from black to platinum is not an easy task amd the health of your hair is every stylists first concern. if she said your hair couldnt handle going platinum in one visit- believe her. it will be much better for you to be honest with her on the spot. an ash toner will get rid of the brassyness but I don't think its something you should do at home if you still want to be platinum.
