Try using nyx jumbo pencil in white on top of the primer but underneath the shadow. It will help the true pigments show :) and it's cheap.

I think you blended the colors too much together that it doesn't pop. I also think you should not only continue using primer but use light/white base so your colors can be more vivid. You are on the right track, you do look beautiful.

There is nothing average about you, you are GORGEOUS!

I had a similar problem, and watching Xsparkage's tutorials on YouTube helped me out a LOT with my technique and application of the more vibrant colors

Of course! I hope it helps! I've found that using a loose bristled brush and just lightly tapping the color onto my lids helps it stay more, and then use the same brush (tap the color off it) to just blend the edges of it very lightly.

I think it pops. Maybe its a difference in the pigmentation. What type of shadow are you using?

It looks really good from my perspective! I actually like that better than the look from the tutorial but if you want more of a bold look get a more bright, pigmented liner for the bottom lash and waterline.

Here's what I do: I put the color in my crease and then blend it up. Then I put a tiny amount of light concealer just on my lid and then place my lid color. I then blend that lid color slightly towards my crease color. At that point I can either add black at the outer corner for more of a smokey look or add eyeliner etc. It works for me to make my colors really pop. try it love:-)

You did a great job! I think it's the pigmentation:)

What brands are you using? with primer and set your colors should be bold unless they are really frosty or pastel

What urban decay shades do you have? maybe we have them and we can experiment. are those sponge or feather brushes? let us know. looking forward to the shade names and info.

You need to use shadows with more pigment, also they have used a supra or coloured liquid base underneath. so try finding a blue gel or liquid eyeliner for the bottom and then put powder over the top for a bolder colour x

Also try wetting the shadow or brush :)

I should have guessed. god I should have known. your face is very pretty. your technique is great. it is the overrated naked palette keeping you from the look you want. here is what you do, go to http://m.urbandecay.com/urban-decay-cosmetics-sale-products/sale,default,sc.html and order the ammo palette and deluxe palette, they are on sale for $10 and $12, then try again. I am sure with these bolder, prettier colors you will create absolute masterpieces!!

Try primer on your eyes before and might be the brand your using or your over blending it, or you are using the same brush without cleaning it in between colors. Hope it helped!
