Biotin is a B type vitamin (forget which one) so yep, it works as you're getting more of said vitamin into your body. But be warned, the hair on your head is not only what's effected.

Yes it does work but biotin is a water soluble vitamin so you need to make sure you are drinking at the very least 64 fl oz a day.
