So, I've recently been hired for a PT perm position at the MAC counter at Nordstrom. Could anyone employed at MAC at Nordies help me understand the way we are paid. I was told that we are paid commission AND base pay. Although, I may have misunderstood. Thanks in advance!

Yep you are paid a base pay plus whatever percentage commission they told you. If you sell items from other departments then you get whatever the commission percentage is from that department. However, since Nordstrom does not have a return policy, you will also see a lot of returns meaning the amount you think you sold is never really the amount. Once you get an ID and pin you can check your sales daily online at mynordstrom.com and you can check anytime at work.
