Take nail a nail sponge and cut it the length of your nail so you don't have too much extra polish... Then take your nail polishes and make stripes with them on the sponge like a rainbow.. Then dab it on your nail after clean up any access polish and apply a top coat...

If you don't wanna use a sponge do a light color base such as white... And apply the darker color you want to use on half the nail then take a eyeshadow brush and fade it out a little so it will have that ombre effect then let it dry and do it again if neccessary & apply top coat

You have to let the base coat dry first before doing the sponge part. Thats why they look like that. Had the same problem the first time I tried it.

Go to msjenfabulous on youtube she has a tourtial on how to do it. if you were using pinks one should've been a much lighter pink.

Practice practice practice and you'll get it down. I paint a base coat then take the sponge and roll first time then dab till you get the desired darkness. If you put scotch tape on your fingers around your nails you have less cleanup too.
