Is there anyone aside from me that doesn't get into the product dupes? Sure, there may be slight similarities, but overall, the differences are vast. Thoughts?

But dupes are great if you don't have the money for high end and still want the same color, or for discontinued colors. I don't care to much about brand, but if you have what I'm looking for when I walk into your store. If it just so happens to be a dupe of another color oh well.

I'm totally down for dupes. Their are plenty of dead on dupes that you can't tell the difference between. I have gone to MAC plenty of times wearing a dupe & the girls swore up & down I was wearing a MAC color. I also have plenty of face products that are dupes.

Well for me I usually buy ds cosmetics but I am not concerned as to wether they are dupes or not. I just buy colours I like. I can afford high end cosmetics but I don't buy them out of principle. They cost very little to produce and are then wildly inflated by as much as 2000%. This is why the beauty industry is a multi billion pound industry after all, that and telling us we need certain products to be beautiful.

I love dupes! Especially when its a product I don't use everyday. Lipstick and eyeshadows are great, but if its any face makeup or mascara or anything I use the same product of daily, I just stick to what I already like. If I end up using the dupes a lot, I'll usually buy the high end version and then keep re-purchasing which ever I prefer out of the two (not always the "high" end product!)

I love dupes too! I hate spending the money for high end makeup when I can get almost the same product for fractions of the cost! There are websites devoted to showing you the hundreds of dupes for higher end makeup.

I find it to be random. we spent two days searching for the perfect green eyeliner and for once we tried drug store brands..it was a total fail. buxom had the perfect green, dark but still colorful!

I love dupes but then I don't because I rather have the original but one of my favorite dupes for the NYX Jumbo pencil in milk is JCat Beauty's Jumbo eye/lip pencil in marshmallow. It's amazing and by far the closest thing to NYX's jumbo pencil in milk.

I'm all about dupes, personally. The nearest ulta and sephora are an hour each way, away from me. I don't really like ordering makeup online, so unless its something very specific that I just can't live without, I'll wait until I can make a trip or I will purchase the dupe!
