But what I'd like to know is whether or not, based on the pictures I've attached of my hair, I could get a blonde dye (like from Sally's) and finish getting rid of the browns I have and try to even out the color.
If I could do it; what shade of blonde would I need? Would I need any other products (like an enhancer or toner)?
I am not a fan of the highlights but seeing as my hair has yet to come out on the other side of a bleaching looking decent; I had no other option to get to the blonde I am now.
I also have natural auburn hair and despite having previously been a dark chocolate color, still retain the natural reddish undertones (which peeks through in my current blonde after washing for the first time after the salon visit)
Sorry for the lighting in the pictures; hopefully you can see the color of my hair okay.
Thanks everyone!! :)

I was a dark brown and went complete platinum In 5 months, I got all over Highlights 3 times then an all over dye blonde.. Then bleached it all over twice! Platinum. And it looked like Barbie blonde hair!! :-) go to Sally's and get the blue tube of bleach and a 30 or 40 developer your hair will be Barbie white blonde after one or 2 times of bleaching it. BUUUUUUT, of course after bleaching it will dry out so make sure you do deep conditions quite frequently and use the purple shampoo and conditioner made for blondes!! Good luck:) also I changed mine back to brown after it was only platinum for a month so make sure You really want it blonde! Lol.

Thanks ladies!
My bleachings always end in orange (we're talking Haley Williams of Paramore orange here) and/or gummy messes. Do you have any tips for making sure that doesn't happen? I'll admit the orange was probably from trying to bleach when my hair was so dark; so that may not happen now that I'm lighter. But I don't know what to do if it's gummy; it gets especially bad in my bangs.
I may not go completely platinum (yet) but would very much like to have a pretty, non-straw colored all-over blonde.
Also how do you go about touch ups? I sound like a total noob; but blonde is the only color I haven't been (aside from my toddler years lol and that was natural) so I'm not entirely sure how to care for and maintain it.
