the one in my profile is how i had it. long layers and about 4-5 inches longer than show on post.

Do you think it looks longer on one side because of the way you part your hair. To me it looks longer on the right side (on picture) and shorter on the left, But you also part it on the right side so all that hair on the left as a longer way down to hit your shoulders if you get what I mean.
I understand your pain, this happened to me before, almost exactly but I dont part my hair down the side, I do it down the middle and it still was longer on the left side. I was so angry I cried. So sorry this happened. Maybe you can just wear your hair in braids or up. If you wear it in a side braid, put the braid on the left side because it is shorter and the longer hair on the right side will be able to be pulled over to the left side since it is longer.

Do you straighten your hair often? I think if you add more volume up on top, it may give you a better shape to the hair cut.. because it does look very heavy on the bottom. Maybe you can achieve some wavy curls like this..
I think that it will help blend the layers better. I know she is a blonde but it will look good on a brunette as well.

I would call your regular stylist tell her what happened and she should be able to fix by first blending your layers i had this done to my hair same exact scenario took me a couple months for my layers to get to where they were but the blending deffinitely helped me tolerate the cut more!! Congrats on #4 good thing is your taking prenatals that will deffinitely help with the growing them out process! sorry and good luck!

i hate when i get bad hair cuts! i JUST made a video about my worst hair experience ever! here is the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG2MnrXuorQ
JCPenny salon saved my hair! they made it flawless! i recommend going there if you live by a jcp, not saying you are guaranteed a great cut but mine was perfect

So sorry to hear about the bad haircut =/ I can't believe your stylist would do that! They should always ask how much length you want off and how long/short you want your layers to be...very unprofessional. I see what she was going for, but its probably not the best look for your hair. I actually get a pretty similar style with the short layers (http://dailybooth.com/Marshmelly/7181717) but my hair is not very full so it helps to add more volume. I had kind of the opposite problem with a recent haircut...the lady (who I had never been to previously) did not ask any of the questions I was used to being asked by other stylists. I told her she wasn't parting my hair on the correct side and she didn't seem to care and said she'd part it at the end (O_O) and I asked for layers and she didn't even ask me what length I wanted them...she gave me such long layers it looked like she hadn't even done anything and I had no style to my hair. She was so unprofessional and seemed like she was just cutting my hair the way she wanted to instead of asking what I wanted. bleh!
