If you don't want to go and buy an eyeshadow primer, then I suggest trying concealer on your eye lids as this will help the colour to last. If your lids are oily that will cause the creasing so I would suggest a little translucent powder before applying your eyeshadow. Also, creasing is common when using cream eyeshadows, so if this is why yours is creasing so quickly, I suggest trying a powder shadow. I also really like MAC's paint pots as if you choose a colour like 'Bare Study' it acts as a primer and a base colour and helps your colour stay on for longer.
With regards to your mascara, if you are experiencing flaking then the formula you are using is definitely wrong for you. I suggest trying a new mascara, personally I really like the formulas from Maybelline and have experienced a great finish with many of their products (just avoid the Cat eyes on). Hope this help,

Yeah, buy a new mascara.
And yes, an eyeshadow primer will help stop creasing. For an inexpensive option that isn't DIY, I like NYX's HD eyeshadow primer/base.

just buy a new mascara, i would recommend lancomes hypnose doll lashes it does wonders. Also yes in order to keep your make-up from creasing you'll need a base

I agree with Rikkie P. and Tamara R. If it's old it needs replaceing. Mascara is soposed to be replaced every 3 months, so if its older then that, toss it, that may be your issue with it. If not, Like these girls have expertly sudgested get, get a new one. It sound like the one you are useing is ovioucely NOT working right. Theres lots of brands out there and lots of different effects on them, so try a few to be honest. I sudgest you buy 3 to see wich one you like the best. I personaly absolutly LOVE Avons Super schock mascara. Its inexpensive, dosnt flake, watterproof, and makes my eye lashes look fuller then what they really are :)

As far as the mascara goes, unless it's just old and needs to be replaced.. I'd try a new formula. There are endless reviews online that you can read up on a brand you're interested in to see if flaking has been a problem for others.
I'd definitely look into a primer to help with creasing, whether you buy one or try the DIY route. Just remember that anything that is emollient and doesn't set, will be more likely to crease particularly with very oily eye lids.

You can also try using concealer as a primer for your eyes if you'd rather not go out and buy an eyeshadow primer.
What mascara are you using? I'd recommend trying a different one, not all mascaras are perfect. My favorite drugstore one is Maybelline's Lash Stiletto.

Everybody and their grandmother's grandmother recommends you use a primer/base to keep your eyeshadow on, so yes. There are tutorials on YouTube on how to make your own primer/base.
I hate mascara primer. I would suggest getting a different mascara because I don't think the one you are currently using is actually working with you.

I have pretty good luck with waterproof mascara staying put. I really like covergirl lash blast. I've been using concealer followed by translucent powder as eyeshadow primer lately and that seems to work well for me. Hope this helps :)

My mascara often flakes and I don't know how to help keep it on all day. I prefer not to go out and buy some primer but if that works best, I'll consider it. Also, is there anyway to stop eyeshadow from creasing? Would a primer work to help keep it on longer? If there is something I can use other then going out and buying a primer, please comment below. Thank you!
