Everytime I try to grow my nails out they just peel off in layers or bend and crack off :(

Have you tried using nail polish that strengthens your nail? I use it under my regular nail polish and it works wonders after a while. :)

I have this problem too and I have tried different nail polishes that haven't worked(though I've heard of some on here I want to try), but what I've been doing (and it's working) is filing them regularly. not short but just enough where they don't get flimsy. Mine have been growing nicely now.
