My hair is failing off in an alarming rate & it has lost all life...I know I should see a dermatologist but I can't at the moment (expenses sigh!) can you guys suggest some very effective home remedies please? It has also started fizzing out a lot & there is absolutely no shine or life to my hair anymore even though I don't use styling tools or hair products at all (other than the necessary ones of course...shampoo, conditioner).& I do oil (olive) my hair once a week.
Any suggestion?

Maybe try some vitamin s it sounds more like a health issue as opposed to mis treating your hair , there are lots to choose from for strengthening hair and nails. hope this helps...they do work I had the same issue a few months ago...

Try hot oil treatments with Jamaican black castor oil and coconut oil. Both are excellent remedies for hair loss.

@Erneshia Can I get Jamaican caster oil on line somewhere? I won't find it here :( & could the normal castor oil be used instead?

Take biotin supplements, they were very affordable. I'd also recommend a multi vitamin if you don't already take one. Biotin for sure though.

Salmon pills or fish oils help with just about everything!

The same things going on with my hair but my prob is due to bleaching and relaxing. I know you said going to s derm is expensive right now but if I were you I would really go to a doctor. If you really can't then try to eat as healthy as you can lots of green veggies and take biotin. Good luck.

Maybe you can try prenatal vitamins...

@Melissa...I never thought about a mineral deficiency...thank you for pointing out, will check them out too.
@Pamela, yes I have tried minoxidil products, for about 5 months & they do help stop hair fall but my problem persisted as soon as I stopped using it. Like I will have to keep using it forever.
@Jessica prenatal vitamins?! well I thought those are only intended to use when you are pregnant.
