I got my hair cut short too. It sucks. Haha. I usually blow dry it upside down so I get more volume. Then I will either put my bangs up in a poofy thingy. Or I'd curl them to the side.
You can also curl short hair but be careful with heat if you want it to grow back healthy.
You can also braid the sides and pull them back.
If you absolutely hate it you can probably think about getting extentions.

You can also braid your bangs and flip the ends out like this.
