I use a 1 1/2 inch barrel curling iron and I curl it. Before it cools, I roll it into a pin curl and use double prong clips (you can use bobby pins) to pin it. Then I give it a good spray of hairspray. I change the way I pin it as I work up my head for volume. While it cools I do my make up and when I am dressed I un pin it, run some texture spray through it, and tease a bit and ta the! Beautiful curls that last me alllll day:-) My hair is super straight and it is hard to hold a curl unless I use this method. Its fast and easy. The next day if I don't wash my hair I use some dry shampoo, spray some leave in conditioner or awapuhi moisture mist from paul mitchell, and without any heat I re pin curl it using my fingers and let it dry while I do my makeup. It looks the same and is not so much heat use. Happy curling!
