So one day I came home and my kids had decided to cut the cord off of my hot tools straightener. So of course it was time for a new one. I went and bought a CHI for the first time. I used it once and it left my ends feeling really fried. I went to get a haircut and thought maybe that was the problem cus my ends were dead. Well I used it again after the haircut and the same thing happened. Has anyone had this problem? The straightener also didn't have a heating dial so it just heat up to one heat. I went online and read reviews of good straighteners but I found bad reviews about a lot of them. Which were they're hair frying too. Does
anyone know of a really good one that doesn't do that!

I use a chi and don't have that issue, have you tried a heat protector spray first before you flat iron. Maybe it would help??

CHI is the best flat iron. They heat up fast and you get great results. I've been using their flat irons for years. and I have never been disappointed.

Everyone has an opinion , and if probably going to think whatever they use is the best. I have heard so many people say GHD/Sultra make the best irons on the market. But most stylist I know all use Babyliss.

Thanks ladies!! I've never heard of the GHD straighteners I'm going to have to look into them. And yes I do use a heat protectant and it still did that to my hair.

Chi never worked for me. I have super thick super curly hair and I swear by my ion one stroke. I won't ever use any other straightener.
