Well, it can be harsh on your skin. I would just make sure to use other products without salicylic acid. You could use calming facial masks and make sure to moisturize every day after you wash your face, even if you have oily skin.
If the salicylic acid is working for you, then why change it?

It's won't really harm you, it's just pretty strong.

To much salicylic acid can be irritating to your skin and dry it out. When your skin is dried out, it produces more oil and causes even more breakouts. Also using a product with salicylic acid in it during the day can make you very sensitive to the sun and cause sunburn. I'd suggest using a gentle cleanser with a salicylic acid treatment at night and using sunscreen and protecting your skin during the day along with a gentle cleanser.

If you have been using both for awhile and your skin is fine then continuing to use them will be fine. Everyone's skin is different and for some that combo is too harsh. It just depends how you skin is handling it.

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! I agree with rachel! if its working for you then stick with it. if your skinn feels dried out then I'd say using both is too strong for you. your best bet is to see an esthetician or a dermatologist, they will give you the best skin care advice!

Check the level of salicylic acid. I checked in mine both are like 0.2% which is v mild.
