Okay, well when a hair dryer is ceramic it will produce ions, so sometimes it comes down to what the manufacturer wants to advertise because they're pretty much the same thing. (Funny how they try to do that, eh? :P ) A few important things to look at, most hair dryers widely available are available in a multitude of different wattages, 1875 is very typical and that's about all you need. Look for one with multiple different settings you're not using super hot air each time. Example would be, mine has 4 different heat settings, 3 different speed settings and your usual cold shot button. That allows you to get exactly what you need from it. If you have wavy hair and like to accentuate the wave pattern, one already equipped with a diffuser attachment would be a great idea. Diffusers, well, diffuse the air coming from the dryer which is good for wave/curl because the air not being blasted directly at the hair will allow the wave to form more naturally and help decrease frizz.
