I'm 15, and am well practiced in walking with heels. I wear them to special occasions and, occasionally, church. I really like the way skinny jeans and heels look, but don't want to look stupid. I just like the way it makes me feel confident and feminine. At what age is it "okay" to wear heels casually?

Yes! Heels can always be used causally. If you don't want to wear heels because you think they might look to dressy you can also try wedges

In my opinion, there is NEVER a time when heels AREN't acceptable. It makes it look like you put in a lot of effort! Everytime I see someone wearing heels, I always think, "wow, they look good", as opposed to flats which looks *in my opinion* a pinch on the lazy side. If you can wear them, rock on!

Personally I feel it's cool to wear them casually at 18. Buuuuut if you could work it at 15, go for it!

Probably more socially acceptable after age you turn 18 just thinking about teenager in heels seems strange to me personally but I only wear heels to work and/or going out at night normally I'm a vans n flats type of girl myself but if you love em then wear em if nothing else they make you look more professional and grown up :)

If you can walk in them properly then any age is fine! What isn't ok imo is a young teen limping in stilettos, haha.

I personally prefer wedges for an everyday type of shoe (just for comfort/ practicality. But if you like heels and can do what you need to do while wearing them then rock it.

If you like heels and want to wear them, then go for it! It's your style. Although it might not be common for 15 year olds to wear them all the time it doesn't matter it's your choice! Don't let anyone stop you(:

Any time you fucking want!
I started wearing heels in 8-7 grade and I was bullied relentlessly I didn't give a crap because I LOVE fashion and I have a condition in my feet wear my archs are so high I can't wear flats and heels are more comfortable then tennis shoes for me Regardless of my condition I would wear heels anyway
Just a warning if you can't walk in them save your self and don't wear them that's the only "heel rule" I have

What's the technique to walking in heels?!
Jun 30, 2013
Erin M.
@Molly - Just practice. Get a pair or borrow them from your mom and practice. Although I trip on my own two feet in flat I was able to pick up walking in heels immediately.
But there is never a WRONG time for heels in my opinion! I've been wearing them frequently since my sophomore year l high school. I can't wear them now as my job doesn't allow it (I work with two year olds and the two don't mix) but I still wear them on weekends. It's just a matter of walking in them and not looking like a new born calf. But if you've got the walk down, go ahead and strut your stuff where ever you want!

I'm 17 and I wear heels, skinny jeans and a cute blouse to school all the time. Even when I was 16 I did. Wear whatever you want, whenever you want. (-: It's your life.

I think 13 is the younger you should wear heels but there are different style of heal height and thickness of the actually heel depends. I wear boots with heel to school and wedges in summer time.

If they're stilettos then like 15-16. If they are 2-3-4in then like 12-14.

To be honest, I think it's acceptable for someone to wear heels whenever they want to, as long as they CAN WALK IN THEM. I'm sick of people walking around like baby giraffes learning to walk. It looks so dumb...
