My skin is so bad and I need help on a foundation for dry skin and also a really good treatment.
It's so embarrassing when I'm out and my friends say 'why have you got flakey patches of foundation on your face!?'

A very intensive serum for nighttime and a thicker cream for daytime. Make sure to let it absorb. Also, resurfacing peels are the best way to smooth skin but creams and serums for dry skin are best to hydrate and prevent any flakiness. Believe me, I suffer with the same issues :-) philosophy and cane+austin have great resurfacers!

And nars sheer glow is a nice foudation. Stay away from any thicker cream foundations (its a recipe for disaster!) go for lighter bb creams or foundations like mac face and body that won't cling on dry patches. If you can spend a bit more, chanel vitalumiere aqua is a great foundation because its waterbased but gives a nice finish and hydrates a bit too! One last thing, always remember a good primer!

Maybe you should go to a doctor and see what they recommend.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream is great and for makeup just try to use a good moisturizing concealer in the areas you need it and set lightly with powder :)

If your skin is dry, don't exfoliate too much! Try some collagen masks! Helps to moisturise and feed your skin cells with the proteins they need! Hope this helps xx ps; eat lots of oranges!

Is your skin dry when your not wearing foundation?
is it just your face which is dry? any other areas on your body? What is your hair and nails like?

This is a very simple tip, but you would be amazed the difference it can make if you don't already do it. In the morning, after you apply your moisturizer, let it soak in for at least 5 full minutes before you apply any kind of makeup product. Simple, but I really hope that helps you!
