I love tattoos. I mean not a full body of them. But I think they give us a great way to express ourself through our body. I think there great.

If there is a good meaning for it then I mean hey go for it but if you just want one to have one then you shouldn't be getting one. At the same time I think it's something you can look back on once your older to remind you & reflect on your old self.

I want one, but I'm always afraid I won't like it later on. And I'm a wimp when it comes to pain.
However, I do think that there are some types of tattoos that can be tacky. Small ones are cute, but if your getting a big one I think that it should probably mean something to you.
Like Briana said, huge meaningless tattoos are kind of tacky.
Just my opinion though. (:

I have three but you can't see them when I'm wearing clothes and that's for 2 reasons. One is that I don't want tattoos that are visible when I wear my wedding dress and the other is that I got them for meaningful reasons that are private. Nobody else's business.

I think they are really pretty and I want to get one but it is hard to have one in a lot of professions later on!

I have 3. Rosary beads around my ankle for my religion. A frangipani on my left shoulder blade from when I went on my first family holiday to Bali Which also symbolizes Goodluck. & yes the oh so common feather and birds which I got to represent freedom. I love tattoos & have 2 more already planned out.

Have a sleeve and a half. 20+. To each their own, if you dig them, rock them. If you hate them, don't knock them! And no tattoo is "meaningless" there is some reason you pick what you pick and on top of that (hopefully) an artist took there time, talent and inspiration to use you as their canvas. If any of this doesn't click with you, you shouldn't get one. <3.

And as for people who think it looks "unprofessional", 1/8 (survey of 200) CEOs of high grossing companies have 1 or more. There is nothing unprofessional about art and inspiration.

Get a tattoo that meAns the world to you, maybe something sweet that your mother or father said to you growing up? I think tattoos are a means of expression.

I'll keep it simple and say, Jesus loves me and my tattoos! And I didn't think about anyone but myself when I got mine.

I have three but want another big one. Mine all mean something to me but that's my choice. They are all in places easily hidden. However even if they weren't I would hope any potential emoployer would go on my merit and skills in that job. As for it looking wired when I'm old...who cares. Everyone is going to get wrinkly, mine will just look a little less finely done tattoo a bit more Picasso
