I've been practicing with the Milkmaid Updo braids, and I'm not sure if I'm doing the braid correctly. It sort of ends up looking like Princess Leia from Star Wars...

I always do 2 French braids, cross them behind my head, & overlap them on the crown... Although my hair wraps all the way around & back to my ears... It's a little less bulky to cross them & go around instead of pull them straight up on the side you braided... Hopefully that makes sense!

Here's a picture of a milkmaid braid for those wondering what it's supposed to look like. Sorry I have no advice I've never tried it.
