Yes and it won't get better till you stop using it. I love Mac but its terribly damaging to the skin.

Maybe try putting a moisturizer on under your make up?

Stop using the foundation. Same thing happened to me when I used it. My favorite foundation that can be compared to that is Revlon's ColorStay.

I experienced the same with every single foundation from MAC. Once I stopped using then my skin cleared up. I even tried it with a primer thinking it would give it a barrier...no dice. Stop using and see how your skin responds. To address the break-out. Simply tlc. Spot treat with salylic acid cream after applying your evening moisturizer.

Ronee I do use a moisturizer. Atiyah the Revlon Color Stay is too thick for me but Thanks anyway. Shelley any skincare or foundation recommendation.

For foundation I would look at Laura Mercier, Estee Lauder and Lancome. EL and Lancome have definitely upped their game when it comes to offering shades for deeper tones so they are worth checking out. Make sure they do a swatch along your jaw line and if you like what you see don't immediately buy...I would ask for a sample to take home so you can see if your skin reacts after several days of wear. Emphasis to them that you had issue in the past with MAC and is desperately in the market for a replacement (just in case they want to give you grief about getting a sample). As far as skincare I suggest checking out the Mario Badsecu Drying Mask and Healing & Soothing Mask. I use the two in rotation. I use the Drying Mask at night in my affected areas followed up with a moisturizer. And then the next morning I use the Healing & Soothing mask. It helps cancel out the drying effects of the first mask. I don't use it often...only when I've been bad and splurged on way too much junk food. I'm pretty impressed with the entire Mario Badsecu line for my skin type. You can find it at ULTA.

Thanks ever tried Origins or Clinique Shelley? If so what was your experience?

I actually have the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask. Its actually a glorified night moisturizer but my skin loves it after I use any kind of mask on my face evening time. I also have their Repairwear Laser Focus eye cream but I don't use it everyday as I've been using grapeseed oil as an eye cream per se. As far as Origins goes...I gave it a lot of chances but it just wasnt a great fit for my skin so I had to leave it alone. Found the skin serum that treats uneven skin was too drying and it didn't result in reasonable results for the amount of time that I used it for (6 months). I had to go back to my Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator which actually gave me noticable results within 2 weeks of twice a day use. With that one I would tread carefully though as it does have a golden illuminating ingredient in it and some have found it to be irritating. Its quite faint and doez give a nice glow for daytime wear but I wouldn't use it for a long time. Just to treat and resolve the issue and then move on to something that you can use as daily maintenance to fade light acne scars or uneven tone.

Ciara H. It may be a little pricey but I had to use Bobbi Brown's repair foundation for a few days to help with breakout from using the Mac studio fix foundation. It smells horribly medicated but I can honestly say it helped my skin heal. Shelley W- I loved your recommendations for a drying and healing mask! I'm going to take your advice!

Yep! It has a high mineral oil content which can sometimes lead to reactions. I'd suggest stop using it and switch to a foundation that doesn't have mineral oil, or a lower amount (like Kat von d or something similar).
