I used MAC mineralize skin finish but it gets patchy on me, now I use Revlon Color Stay and I absolutely love it. Doesnt dry me out, get me flaky, and stays on even overnight.

NARS Sheer Glow!! Without a question - it's lightweight, light/medium coverage, gorgeous natural/satin finish, and totally smooths out my dry spots! NARS offers a HUGE shade range, definitely well worth the investment!

I use Bare Minerals foundation. Liquid foundation could make your skin look even more dry. Of course there are some great liquid foundations that can help moisturize your skin. I recommend that.

use a hydrating primer and any foundation will look better my fave is smashbox hydrating primer it literally feels like a drink of water for your face....also smashbox healthy fx foundation is a hydrating foundation along with benefits new hello flawless foundation

I'm late on the bandwagon for this, but I have extremely dry skin in the winter and I make sure I'm moisturizing day and night. It really makes a difference. Like Jasmine K. said above me, use a hydrating primer! My go-to primer right now is Make Up Forever's HD Primer 2, which neutralizes yellow undertones and makes me feel smooth all over without being greasy! As for foundation, I LOVE MUF's HD Foundation. I use a stippling method to put it on and my skin looks flawless. Also, ONLY POWDER WHERE YOU NEED IT! I powder my T-zone and that's pretty much it. When you have dry skin, powder all-over can make you look cakey. Hope this helped!

Using a great moisturizer before applying your foundation will make an extreme difference! Also when you wash your face, I suggest exfoliating using some facial sponges that you can get pretty much anywhere for a super low price. That will definitely get rid of dead dry skin on the face. So you're starting out with a clean canvas. That and moisturizing are two great things to do. I wouldn't even go out and buy another foundation without doing those two first.

I have dry skin as well I just purchased Lancomes 24 hour ultra foundation and it's very nice no DRY patches or anything! I also like to use Laura Gellers primer, and a good moisturizer i use Olay and Oragins vitazing with mangosteen wonderful products :)

I use Laura Merciers Silk Creme Foundation and it does wonders for my skin. That plus a lot of moisturizing usually does it for me.

I have dry skin and just started using Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer...love it! Also good to use to apply foundation is that Beauty Blender sponge. I have noticed a difference!

After you exfoliate, and your skin is rid of flaky dry skin cells, then you moisturize right after. You should do it before your makeup and before you go to bed when you wash your face again. Ponds dry skin cream is what I have and it works wonders. Also throughout the day while you have your makeup on you can always spray Mac Fix Plus on your face. That rehydrates your face as well.

I have the same problem with dry patches and just overall dry skin... Yesterday I went to my Chanel counter and tried the Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, and I have to say, without even using a moisturizer in the store and just trying it spur-of-the-moment, it looks BEAUTIFUL on my skin... I had no dry patches, although i'd suggest putting moisturizer on regardless. It's completely water based, you have to shake it up before using it (otherwise its just all water!). I highly recommend it, I fell in love right away, especially after hearing a lot of great reviews on YouTube... Definitely get a sample or something, SO worth it!

I just MADE a dupe for chanels Vitalumeiere omg it's amazing!! You can go look if you want :)
