Do you ever get offended when someone tells you wear too much makeup?
For me, its not like I get offended but, I don't need your opinion unless I ask for it. Or don't tell me DON't wear makeup. Its my face and I do enjoy wearing makeup, fun colors and just makeup in general. So, what are your thoughts?

I think of it as a compliment as if they think I don't need that much makeup and I'm pretty with less as on, but if people tell me that I wouldn't care because I wear makeup for me not for anyone else. Therefore I agree with you

No one's ever told me that, but I would get incredibly offended if they did and just be tempted to wipe it all off! Its like "/I/ thought it looked good, but I guess not :("

Omg Cassandra I totally understand you! But I hate it when people make these type of comments. I have a twin sister who hardly wears any makeup and I'm constantly being told why do I wear it! I love makeup and peoples oppinions don't matter. its not going to stop me from wearing it.

When people make comments like that it means they are insecure about themselves. Or if it's family they probably just are bugging you. :)

Don't let people put you down.. Just be who you are.. Its your life if thats the way to make you happy then go for it!
What's the use of makeup if no one will use it?

Yes most people don't say that to me, but my current boyfriend and my ex both prefer the natural look which is always kinda frustrating because I love makeup. Neither make or made a big deal of it though.

My boyfriend says I look beautiful without makeup and when I put it on it accents my beauty. he's a sweetheart but yes it does irk me cause I mean stop staring if you don't like it. like, do I look like I want to take advice from someone who doesn't even know the meaning of stippling? sorry it just irritates me.

I don't get offended, but I will verbally bitch slap you if you do. If I asked for your opinion, then it's fair game. Otherwise you can leave me alone because I'm perfectly content wearing my black lipstick (or whatever it is I'm wearing) and I don't need your opinions on it. :)

Maybe not offended but a little annoyed haha. Makeup is a personal choice and everyone has the right to choose to wear whatever an however much they want :)

*takes a bow* thank you, thank you. haha! :) I just think it's unnecessary to comment on someone's anything unless they ask you to do otherwise. If you're going to be a phallic shaped object then you should be prepared to face the consequences of voicing your unneeded and unwanted opinions. :)

I love the responses on this. HA! Honestly it's been forever since anyone's told me I wear too much makeup, but I'm right along with you guys. I don't think it'd offend me at all from most people. I live in a town full of pajama pants in public and mullets. So even an insult couldn't be insulting ;)

I'm glad I've never had this problem. My husband loves the way I do my makeup and everyone else I'm close with thinks I'm very talented. If anyone ever told me I wear to much makeup or anything remotely close to that I'd probably punch them hahah...

I use to get really offended but now I don't really mind. "There is a huge amount of freedom you get when you take nothing personally" (forgot who said that). I have only been told it once but looking back I wish I would have seen it as a compliment because they are telling me I look my best the way I am

I get annoyed because all I wear are eyeshadows and eyeliner with mascara and my family members always tell me to wear less make up or to not wear make up and when I don't they ask my why I look tired or why I'm not wearing makeup -.-

My mum and my friends... Sometimes my nan and auntie say it but I think it's cuz they want me to focus on studies too and not just makeup but idc.

I get told I wear to much make up everyday but I say if they don't like it don't look simple as! There thoughts on my make up wasn't needed because what they say ain't going to make me change myself for them I like the day I do my make up its not there face It's on so why they worrying? Don't worry about people be yourself you don't live to please them! X.

Omg I'm the youngest girl from the fam, so I tend to only use eyeliner, eyepencil & mascara. Cause they will make comments ALL the time.._.

Don't let others judge you. If you think your make up is fine, tell it to them. Don't let their opinions make you insecure. After all, it's your face. If you feel confident and pretty with the amount of make up you are wearing, who cares?(: xo Carabelle.
