DO:
- Post content people want. You can do a survey online or just look around to see what's trending.
- Be polite to everyone, even the haters.
-Post on a regular basis. This can be everyday, every week, etc. Don't decide on a schedule you'll be too busy to commit to (I personally used to post everyday, but it became too much for me).
- Be a person too! Let your viewers know your personality.

DON'T:
- SPAM. There's nothing bloggers and YT-ers hate more than spammers. And yes a message saying "Please check out my channel and subscribe. Send me the link to yours so I can have a look." to a random person you've never communicated with before counts as spam. The only thing is a lot of people who do it don't realize it.
- Post things that have been done a million times before. Here, I'm more specifically referring to tutorials. Post tutorials on unique topics that people still want to see. If there are a million videos on a topic done already, your views won't be that much.

I'll add onto this if I think of anything else :)

I think what breaks a youtube channel, is not having a personality. I feel that if you sound dull in all your videos you wont catch people's attention.

What makes a youtube channel along with having a good personality is keeping your viewers interested and doing videos they want to see. Along with that comes great editing, video quality, and length. I really can't stand seeing 13 minutes videos about an eye look. lol.

But, if you just started making videos and sound dull I would understand because you feel like your talking to no one. lol.But eventually once receiving subscriber, personality will develop. But if you have 10k and still dull that just breaks it for me. lol.

If a person loves putting music on their talking videos, I don't subscribe. I can hardly understand people daily without background noise so I definitely have issues with background noise.

And yeah, if you're as fun to watch as it is watching a nut, then that's a no.

I only subscribe to people if they have good quality videos. Or an amazing personality, but you really can't fall back on that... By good quality, I don't mean the camera, I mean that the first thing I search for in a small youtuber is tutorials. If they don't have good tutorials that are something more than what I could do in 7th grade, then I leave. I know that that's harsh and it doesn't even give people a chance... But on the other hand, youtube is so completely over-saturated with people who don't know what the heck they're doing that I think it's a pretty good screening system. There are plenty of other things, but that makes it or breaks it pretty quickly for me.
