I'm not quite sure if this the correct term for this, but I saw my cousin the other day and she has jet black hair but just on one side where her bangs and face frame is she had it under dyed blonde and her hair was curled out and it looked so beautiful. Or at least I thought it did. =]

I'm just curious on what everyone else thinks about under dye? I have medium brown hair and I would love to put like a red in it using this technique but is it something I can do at home? If so, any suggestions?

Ok, so I couldn't find the exact pic I was looking for but I found two pictures that maybe would help in this post. The first pic is what I'm talking about for the under dye ... however I wouldn't want for it to be this vibrant of a red.

With the first picture now in place, I would want the under dye on part of my hair. for instance, looking at Lindsay Lohan's hair, the only part of the hair that would be dyed would be the right side if you're looking at the picture. So, it would be under her bangs followed framing her face.

I hope this helps, if not I think I'm going to def give this a shot and I will post a pic once I do it!

^^ oops I made a terrible typo, lol.

So, it would be under her bangs followed framing her face <--- This should read: So, it would be under bangs following the frame of her face all the way down to the end of her hair.

I used to have blonde flashes underneath my hair. It looks awesome with brown. I think you could do it yourself with bleach.
