I love wearing eyeshadow but I get a bit confused on what colors look good on my dark brown eyes. I also have dark brown eye brows & hair as well. What colors would match well & make my eyes pop w/o looking too over the top.?

Light or dark purple :)

Should I stick to plain colors like browns, whites, golds, etc.?

I have brown eye too and I love to wear light pink/lilac eyeshadow with black or blue eyeliner. I notice those color look ok. That's if you don't want something too dramatic😉

I have really dark brown eyes they're basically black! But I usually do whatever eyeshadow I want and put purple eyeliner on my tight line and water line it really
makes my eyes pop!

I have dark brown eyes. I find the best colors for me are browns, golds, tan, white, grey, black, and purples. Nothing too crazy. Pink, blue and green don't look right on me.

I don't even follow the rules when it comes to pairing eyeshadow colors to my dark brown eyes. I experiment till I find the shades that just work. I do know that bronzey, gold shades look great on brown eyes. Especially paired with a nice pink lippie. Hot pink eyeshadows in my inner corner looks great (not the shimmer hot pink though). Trust experiment with colors that you personally love. :)

With dark brown eyes any shade of eyeshadow look great. But light pink eyeshadow and neutral shades of browns would look great and not too dramatic.

I agree with Shelley and Shelby any color looks great :-) You have control of the amount of color you want to apply and application is the key so just try everything with a light hand first then you'll find the ones you'll love.

I think bronze would look great! Also, take your skin tone into consideration as well, when choosing colors. Example: I myself have pale, cool skin tones so the purples and pinks that people typically suggest for brown eyes makes the skin around my eyes look horrible, like I have allergies or bruising. Experiment and see what you like best!

I love creamy colors on dark eyes. like cream, milks, pale colours, that widen dark eyes and add an innocent look.

Brown eyes can wear any color. Now the trick is to find out if you are warm, cool or neutral tone in your skin, and match the undertone of your eyeshadow to that.
