I own the maybelline gel eye liner but now it's kinda dried up and I still have more than half if it left. Any idea how to revive it. Please!!

I don't know the honest answer but maybe add some water?

Would rubbing alcohol do it? It may only work temporarily then dry up before the next time

Would that sting if it got in your eye?^

Alcohol is drying, so don't try that. Water (not much) might help. But first try scraping off the top, it might just have s thin dry layer and be fine under.

I think water won't do it. I tried micro waving it worked once but not any more :(

Gel eyeliner will dry up easily, I don't think there is anything you can do to fix it. just next time make sure you always close the container tightly!

You can use saline or Muti purpose solution for contacts or eye drops.

Use a clear gel-based face primer. Put it in the eyeshadow > add a couple drops of water > mix it > put it in the microwave for a few seconds > mix it up again and you're done

I feel like one of my friends told me they put Vaseline in theirs. But I'm not sure if that's safe around the eyes. So I don't know.

Same thing Lynzie said... The eye contact saline solution. By own experience they also works on mascara.

Sierra, I wondered about the vaseline and almost suggested trying that but wasn't sure if it would make the gel too oily and not dry properly. It is safe around the eyes, a lot of people use it as a makeup remover around the eyes actually, but vaseline terrifies me (I don't like the feeling it leaves).

Is this gel liner in a pot? If so, always store them upside down. Mine never dry out that way.

I would either be using a mixing medium like Inglot Duraline or pop it in the microwave for 5 second intervals and stir the product. You will never achieve the same consistency but it makes the product workable.

Don't add nothing! I just zap mine in the microwave in 10 second increments. Several makeup artists have told me that. Once you start adding junk to it it just changes up the formula and inviting possible eye irritation.

Eye drops/ lens solution - a few drops should do it :)
