How is the correct way to apply foundation with a brush...is there a technique to make it look better?

It depends on the brush! If it's a duo fiber, apply the product and then blend it using circular motions :)

I like to use a buffing brush and 'stipple' it on and then blending by 'swirling' the brush lightly

I also stipple it on with a buffing brush from e.l.f cosmetics :-)

Its the bobbi brown foundation brush don't think it is a buffing one.
