I'm currently training to be a hairdresser and all my nails have gone sooo brittle because they're in water a lot. I like having nice nails but not a fan of acrylics. also like having them painted because hair coloir stains nails. I don't have a lot of time to do them due to long hours. especially since most polish only lasts a couple days.
help?ideas?

You should get a gel nail kit
It does take a while to put on (20 minutes) but they last for around two weeks

I'm a hairstylist and I swear by opi nail envy for soft and thin nails! it makes my nails feel like acrylics!

Maybe shellac or gel nails? it should last a while. if not at least apply a strengthener or base coat to avoid staining your nails.

Megan is right, opi's nail envy is great. it stopped mine from chipping.

Your hair is super cool btw! And I've noticed hairdressers do something simple and short.. Try gel polish.

Nails Inc. has a great kit that contains caviar in them so its good for nails. OPI has some really great ones that I used in beauty school and have not used anything else. OPI Nail Envy and OPI Nail Cuticle Oil.

Gellish is the best. I worked at a nail salon so typically I tried all the brands that were available there. Second favorite shellac.. Colors are limited but quality stuff.. Third opi.
