Join LinkedIn and Model Mayhem. You can connect with people in your local area and work on photoshoots etc. Do you have a makeup facebook page featuring your portfolio? Do you have any friends who are photographers? Ask if you can work alongside them to further your makeup portfolio and gain experience. X.

I agree with Rudie! find some photographer who will make you great photos and put it everywhere on the Internet, with your name of course. And try to be involved with lots of people who are in fashion world or wedding organizations, or whatever involved in what you wanna do.
