I heard that trimming the dead ends of your hair occasionally helps your hair grow faster and longer. Is this true? Because I am afraid that if I go for a trim, it will make my hair shorter when all I want it to be is longer. Please help!

They say that because when you leave the dead ends on they tend to split more and ruin your hair. I won't say it makes your hair grow faster. But I think it helps by removing those already dead/fried ends so those don't ruin the rest of your hair.

If you trim it it will be a little shorter for a while but does help your hair grow it also depends on how fast your hair grows.

I don't actually think it does. From what I've heard, the only way to really help hair growth is specific products/scalp massages to increase circulation, but I would definitely recommend a trim regularly though, just to keep it lovely and get rid of split ends.

Use castor oil to promote hair growth. It's a miracle.

Hair grows from the scalp, so trimming the ends won't make it grow faster. Trimming the ends WILL make it look healthier and fuller and all around nicer. Trimming it ges rid of the split ends, and if you didn't trim it the split ends would split more and you'd end up having to cut more off later. So in the long run it pays off.

Trims are cutting off the split ends preventing them from splitting further up the hair. c: so it's just to keep your hair healthy looking! It doesn't effect how fast it grows.
