I let my sister cut my hair off, one side is longer than the other and now I used a hair dye that faded quickly to an awful color. I was just trying desperately to do something with my hair and burst into tears. I can't go get a haircut right now. Can any if you think if something I can do to help it? This may sound petty but its really erected my self esteem.

Wet it and slick it back until you can get it cut he way you want or wear a scarf headband.

It is a faded coppery red and the roots have grown about an inch so dish water blonde roots. That's a God idea for the head scarf thank you Octavia, I was to emotional to think if what to do.

I'm so sorry to hear that Tara! Its summer and definitely hat season. Sport a cute hat until it grows out and no one will be the wiser doll! :)

Thank you ladies for taking the time to help me. Now that I'm not so emotional I'm just going to try a few different things. I might stuck with a messy donut bun and scarf until I can go to a salon.

I would recommend going on youtube and checking out some hair cutting videos. There really are some good ones out there and its really not that hard to do on yourself. Same goes with the hair dye. I'm to the point now where I can give myself a full head of layers with highlights and lowlights and trust me I have no professional experience. Try baking soda, honey and peroxide make a paste out of it and apply it to wet hair. wrap it in plastic and leave on for 45-50 minutes. shampoo and condition then rinse with apple cider vinegar and water or if you don't have that beer works too. don't rinse that out tho. that will take out a lot of the red. also try this easy trick to cut your own hair. dampen your hair and brush it all forward so your kinda bent over looking at your feet and your hair is dangling down. grab all your hair and make sure its smooth then trim it in one cut so that it is even. you can give yourself layers if you bring all hair to one side kimda like you did in the first step and trim a little bit then do the same to the other side. I hope that helps. next time, use a dye with a neutral base and only go 1-2 levels different then your natural hair color. it will last longer and be more natural.

I think I'm going to try fixing my cut on my own. I have cut fringe before and it turned out good so lets hope this does too.
