I just self tanned for the first time, ever. I used St. Tropez self tan bronzing mousse. It works so well. It isn't at all orangey. I have light skin that looks really bad with anything orange on it. It looks like a real tan and went on easily (I did get the applicator mit) with no streaks.

The applicator mitt is a godsend! (Glad you got it Laura, knew you would rock your tan!). But the classic fake tab brands like st tropez and fake bake really are the best! If you have tan skin already and just want to enhance your natural skin tone a gradual self tanning moisturiser might be best though! Palmers cocoa butter, garner and dove all do nice gradual tanners that are pretty foolproof and not orange or streaky, and they have ones specifically designed for darker skin tones too :)
