Application tips:
1) short nails make a HUGE difference
2) if you have shaky hands, use an eyelash curler to hold your eyelash to help retain the shape/curve of your eye. Insert your false lash into your curler and clamp down (not too hard or you'll bend it). Apply lash adhesive and wait until it gets tacky. Then lower the false lash onto your lash line.
3) place a mirror flat onto a table and use two hands to hold/apply your lashes. Looking into the mirror this way will position your eyelidss to have the perfect application angle and you'll have steady hands since your elbows are propped and stationed on the table.
4) Never place lashes too close to the inner corner of your eye or your tear ducts will react to the irritation and constantly produce tears.
5) NEVER use oil-based makeup remover to remove your eyelashes. (Read this blog post on how to properly remove your lashes http://falseeyelashessite.com/blog/2011/09/13/how-to-remove-false-eyelashes-painlessly/)
Hope this helped!

I can put them on in my sleep....lol
Try this before you actually put them on--->hold both ends of one pair of false eyelashes, and almost bend/roll the entire thing, so that it kind of curves the way your eyelid does when they're on. Don't bend it too much, but enough so that they're not flat across.
Then use your tweezers and do a quick line of glue from end to end, I usually put a little bit more on the corner and twirl the glue around in a circle until it breaks off that stringy glue web...then pop the falsie on!
You have a lot of suggestions here! Hopefully you'll get it down pat! :)

I recently used Urban Decays eyelash glue and liked it. It was irradescent so you could see where you placed it and the lashes stayed very well put through hours of dancing.

yeah amoure is totally right. I keep an extra thing of glue in my makeup bag though...just in case but they never came off. I just bought Revlon's black glue with the brush applicator

Bee, Ardell, NYX and Revlon have brush on glue and I've heard they're all pretty good. I make sure the outside edges have a little more glue than the rest of the lash that way it stays flush and doesn't come up during the night. Also, to prevent accidental lifting put glue on your upper lash line where you are going to place your lash and allow it to get tacky as well.

Tina - thanks! that's a good idea!
Dela - How long does "kiss" glue last? I chose DUO because I heard it lasts and lasts. I don't want my eyelashes popping up in the corner (which HAS happened to me when I went wedding venue shopping) embarrassing!

That ardell clip is a great tool! I found that the tweezers with the scissor handles are even better. Also use "kiss" glue with an eyeliner type brush. This glue comes out already tacky and you dont have to wait and its clear, not white! I hate using duo! I had a hard time too until now.

Look down onto a hand held mirror when applying this really helps me. Good luck!!

Use tweezers to place the lashes on if the glue is messy, it may also help you see where you're applying the lashes.

thanks, meechi! I'll try that method too. my hands shake a little so i tend to make a mess wit the glue because it gets on my fingers from the eyelashes themselves. It's frustrating, but I guess it just takes practice! xo

stick the middle on first then place and drag the outter corner to where u want it :) its easier to match the outter corners together than to do guess work with the initial placement :) i hope this helped!

I heard....... you could also put the glue on the lashline itself and then apply the lashes. I'm going to try that and see if it's easier!?

Let the glue get tacky, use tweezers to apply them and it's best to look down!

I cannot for the life of me get my false eyelashes on! I buy the drugstore kind, and use DUO, but I cannot get them ON right to begin with. And, everyone makes it look like it's the easiest thing in the world. Am I missing something? ? I've given up...but have have such light eyelashes, I need them to look AWAKE.
