I saw this really simple way to clean your brushes on the Dr Oz show! simply take a small bowl, put water in it, a few squirts of any shampoo, and swivel your brushes in them! :)

90% rubbing alcohol.
It doesn't ruin your brushes at all and it kills all the bacteria and dries really fast.

I use antibacterial dish soap and olive oil, about the same amount of each. Rinse under warm water and buff on a towel and let dry overnight!
