Hi guys! I was wondering what would be best to do for getting rid of acne scars. Should I get bio-oil? Or with that cause breakouts?(I am EXTREMELY acne prone, clearly.) Or should I go to a salon/spa and get a chemical peel? Any other products, tips, tricks or methods that have helped you please let me know!

I find evening primrose or rose hip work quite nicely for scarring. It doesn't break me out. But, I have normal skin & don't break out very often. I think a chemical peel from an Esthetician would be a great idea, too.

Lol it's a theory that milk causes acne. And wheat? It's a fiber so it helps detoxify the body. Don't stop getting calcium just because some person says they read an article. Do your own research..

Visionnaire by Lancôme is amazing. It's pricy but it helps with acne scars. Also Proactiv has a acne scar treatment it works miracles. If you already have the acne scars changing your eating habits won't help. It'll help with future acne but not the scars. You need a cream or treatment. So try out the Lancôme first see how it works for you. It helped me a lot.

I agree with sandy about lancomes visionnaire. Also Estée lauders idealist skin brightener. Both are expensive but you will see a difference in a matter of days!

Just something I have to mention about the milk thing, since going vegan I've noticed my skin has cleared up a lot! And I have researched milk and dairy (naturally) as well, and they really aren't good for you. So many hormones, and other nasty things the cows have been fed. :/ and about the calcium, our bodies can't actually absorb the whole amount of calcium that the milk has in it. We only end up absorbing a fraction of what the label says. Just had to throw that out there lol. And to clear up scars of any kind, try an oil with vitamin E, I use argan oil. Coconut oil and olive oil will work too though. And if you can find a moisturiser with dimethicone in it, try that! I use alba botanica acnedote lotion, and it really helps my skin not break out, and helps heal scars. Good luck! :)

While I agree milk can make things worse, I will say that it is nearly impossible to avoid dairy products. Wheat is good for you. Super processed flour is not. Goats milk is actually healthy for you and less fatty. Ice cream is high in fat and sugar which is why if you "pig out", your skin tends to break out. I still think you should do you're own research rather than listen to people who think they know everything. :)

BTW, Mederma works pretty well in my opinion :)

Mederma will do wonders - you just have to keep up with it for the whole 6 months.

I use honey and cinnamon mask! :) works fabulousness! Also olive oil or coconut oil works great! Bio oil may make you break out so try homemade masks. Please try honey, lemon, and cinnamon mask. It leaves your skin stronger and less vulnerable to the elemnets.

After being diagnosed with diabetes I revamped my entire diet. Dairy products and wheat are basically out. My goal was to get my glucose levels where my body could handle them without medication. One of the unexpected side defects was a faster healing in breakouts I had and now breakouts are very rare. I started the ZO line by Dr. Obagi and comments after 4 weeks out are amazing as is my scarring.

I found a wealth of information at a website called my healing kitchen. Please, please do you research so you know exactly why you make the changes you will make.
