Specifically the ferulic acid retinal brightening solution (serum) and the extra strength peeling pads. Does it help with acne and scars/hyper pigmentation?

I wish I saw this thread sooner. :( Yes, both will assist with the listed concerns but I would not use both together. Both are pretty strong products by themselves. And I would start using in baby steps so you can watch out for possible skin reactions. Whichever one you go for I cannot stress enough that sunscreen during the day is a must as these skin reformers make your skin very sensitive to sunlight. A moisturizing sunscreen at spf30 and nothing less than that. Hope I was of some help. :)
