Advice to prevent color fading.

Hello! I'm getting some blonde and red highlights/lowlights in my hair and wanted to know how everyone keeps their hair color vibrant and from fading so quickly. Thank you!

Wash your hair in cold water, use a sulfate free shampoo, deep condition your hair once a week, don't wash your hair as often and use dry shampoo inbetween washings to get you by! and also if you're in the sun a lot wear a hat or aveda makes a sun protection spray that's like suncreen for your hair! (:
