I recently bought a foundation that is just a tad too dark on me. I don't have the money to go an buy a new one so is there any home remedy to lighten it up?

Yes! If it is a compacted powder you can pop it out into a bowl, take a fork to it, and make it a powder. Then take a little but out and put it in another bowl and add BAKING SODA to it! This will lighten it. Put the lightened powder back into the container and keep lightening small portions until its all done. This will double the amount of makeup, so put the rest of it into a ziplock! Please, try little bits at a time. You don't want to ruin the whole thing because then you'll have no makeup at all.

Buy a powder thats a lot lighter than your color. Thatll help you balance out the darker foundation. Had the same problem and I accidentally bought a powder for fair skin. But I was able to use it with a darker foundation.

If you mix it with moisturiser it will be more sheer and if you blend it down your neck the darkness with be a lot less noticeable.
