I see all the pretty looks here on Beautylish. I really want to start taking pictures of my looks. I need some help as far as the lighting is concerned. I have a Cannon T2i.

I just practice with different lighting. I have found that taking photos outside right at sunset is the best lighting.imo.

Best would be natural daylight. When that isn't possible, a cheap way to improve how your face is lit is to get or make a " reflector board" which will bounce light upwards onto your face. Just google that term and you'll find out more about them.
