What's the difference between semi permanent hair dye and regular hair dye?

Semi permanent is supposed to wash out after about a month or so. It really kinda just fades into a really pale version of what it was, though. At least in my experience. It seems like you have to bleach the last bit out again if you want to re-color.

But instead of bleaching, you could use head and shoulders shampoo to strip out the last bit, it worked for my pink, blue, purple and red hair, which are colors that stain easily

Semi permanent isnt damaging to your hair at all and only coats the hair with color that will fade out. permanent goes into the hair strand and doesn't come out unless removed.

I like manic panic from sallys. a lot of people like splat from walmart, it comes with bleach too but you dnt have to use that. pravana is a very good semipermanent but I think only professionals can get it. hot topic also has semi permanents, I've never tried it.
