i watched christine/temptalia's new video on it lastnight & i can say i'm disappointed with it. i'd love to hear thoughts! i'll link to the video if you wanna hear in depth information about it!

basically from the video:
-each palette is $18 & comes with walk of shame shadow & mini shadow brush.
-$106 to buy the palette & fill it with 5 shadows (6th shadow would be walk of shame)
-$126 to buy the palette & fill with 6 shadows
-old shadows* will snugly fit in it, so if you have a ton UD shadows, you could just purchase the palette alone & put your own in.

*if you didn't know, UD reformulated their shadows & have redone their packaging, making the bottoms pop out easier.

sounds interesting but honestly i just do not have the money. it took me a while to save up for both the naked palettes and i hope they make more of those and i want to create my own MAC palette but like i said money is tough. so its something i think if you have to money to do it would be great but i just dont. but i dont like how each palette comes with that one shadow, seems like a waste if you buy 2 or 3 palettes

I don't like that there is zero discount on the singles. I think I am going to stick with Inglot for their freedom system. UD needs to work on an all matt Naked or a neon/bright version. Then would throw my money at them :)

At first, I was super excited to hear about it. But after watching Christine's video, not so much. I'm not sure what the hype about having a palette for your UD shadows is. Especially since it only holds 6. Well, 5 if you keep the shade it comes with. I would rather pop my UD shades out and keep more, in a cheap, generic palette, than by the specific UD one for that much money!

The whole thing is incredibly stupid.

hey girls! do you know if all the old palettes will still be available? x

too expensive, IMO. They should offer it at a slightly lower rate if you buy it altogether! $126 for 6 eyeshadows is insane to me... new formula, or not!

I just think its hideously expensive. Over £80 here in the UK for six eyeshadows, um no. I'd rather spend just over half of it and get another 10 pan Inglot palette!

I like that some of the shades from past palettes have joined the permanent range. That's good.

But like a lot of you, I find the Build Your Own Palette system is horrifically expensive. For that money, you can buy a twenty-pan palette from Inglot (20 shadows @ $5 USD each + $20 for the palette = $120). Or you can save up and build a MAC palette (15 refill pans @ $11.50 each + $16 for the palette = $188.50) or a MUFE palette (10 shadows @ $19 each + $20 for the palette = $210, but keep in mind MUFE shadows are much larger than either MAC or UD). UD's own pre-made palettes are less expensive, and -- particularly with the Naked palettes, all four BOS palettes, and the 15th Anniversary palette -- you got more shadows for your money.

I also wish Urban Decay made refill pans available at a lower price point. I don't know about you lot, but personally, if I'm depotting an eyeshadow, I don't intend to put it back in the pot!

Personally, I'd just buy the shades I want and put them in a different palette.
