I'm pretty sure it's spam. I wouldn't trust that at all.

Only YouTube will be sending you mail to be a YouTube partner. Don't give them any info. If you are asked to be a partner, it will be on the front page of you youtube. Unfortunately this happens often-some people really suck ;(

You can also post in the YT help forum just to be sure. An admin should get back to u within 48 hrs.

I sent them a few emails and read the contract and basically here it is. They put your video out there through whatever means and get you views, whatever that's great and all. EXCEPT you have to give them a portion of your earnings. They don't GIVE you a partner they get you enough exposure to be a partner, then when you're getting paid, BOOM you owe them for the exposure. ITs basically a talent agency, but I would rather get there on my own. I told them thanks for the offer but NO.

spam! you need to have over 1,000 subscribers to apply for partnership!

Over 1,000? YouTube told me to apply plenty of times and I had less than 400, haha. But I have almost 300,000 total upload views, so. I've seen plenty of people with under 1,000 subs become partner.

But yeah, total spam e-mail right there.

rikki, they offer partial partnerships and full partnerships. They send out that "apply to be a partner" to just about everyone, but it's for the partial partnership. More than how many subscribers you have, they more look at how many views are you getting in how short of time. They like to see thousands of views for one video within a very short amount of time (like a day). No problem for people who are huge like kandee johnson, michelle phan, etc. Those are the types of youtubers who get the full partnerships.

Sehnaz, i hope you decline their offer. It sounds really shady

You will know without a doubt when youtube offers you something. you will see a message from youtube on your youtube page. For example on the video management page. It will be in a "bubble" at the top.
